In August 2005, Cindy Sheehan pitched a tent in a ditch down the road from Bush's ranch to protest the loss of her son Casey and the illegal occupation of Iraq.

More than ten thousand people showed up including veterans from every war and many more Gold Star families.

These are their stories...

If you didn't get to go to "Camp Casey," or even if you did, you will be moved, enriched and energized by this audio documentary produced by Page Getz of KPFK-Los Angeles, a Pacifica station.

From the cd insert: "After bailing hay, interviewing many grieving military families, singing along with Joan Baez on the side of a gravel road, and watching the sun go down over a field of white crosses in the middle of no where, I left Texas changed, like everyone else that was a part of Camp Casey. ... Our occupation of Crawford stirred a momentum that was desperately needed in the movement for peace and it came from a handful of voices that took a stand outside the Bush plantation, making a memorial along a dirt road that made the world watch."
