The Green Party on Global Ecological Agreement
Update on International Affairs – Decision by the Federation of the Green Parties of the Americas at its 2005 meeting. The GPC Council voted to adopt this text in March. The warning voices of the Green Parties and of the environmentalist NGOs of the world have been supported by reliable scientific research demonstrating that the uncontrolled hydrocarbon consumption, along with the accelerated global destruction of forest ecosystems, have caused global warming with severe climatic consequences expressed in more serious and frequent disasters such as great hurricanes, extreme temperatures, glacier melting, massive floods and atypical droughts.
