Bush's Long War with the Truth
George W. Bush does not appear to have made a New Year's resolution to start telling the truth. His first comments to the press corps in 2006 tried to refute questions about his honesty by making at least two misleading assertions. New disclosures also make clear that the White House duped the New York Times in 2004 to stop the newspaper from disclosing Bush's warrantless wiretaps -- and possibly derailing his campaign for a second term. For the full story about Bush's long war with reality, go to Consortiumnews.com
