Hey there, quick question. I'm in a debate over at my Blahg, and the subject of the ATF agents came up. My understanding is that they were there on their own, not at the behest of the Canadian government, and that the OPP were just as shocked as everybody else to find out that they were present and engaged in this surveillance of the 6 Nations peoples. Am I remembering this correctly? Could you point me to relevant posts about this? Thanks in advanve.

Meaghan, I believe Scout is correct. Check out the site mentioned. As far as I know, the ATF were there at the behest of the OPP. I will try to find other posts and point you to them when I have a bit more time...
Scout, thanks for the help and your kind, encouraging comments... Summer is ok, but rather busy with all that's going on and family stuff, but not a lot of 'fun stuff'... I'll send you an email later... How's your summer? (Still wish you could come out here for a visit... :)

meghan you may also want to try mnn news....i don't think their archive page is up yet, and they're using rrs feed, but if you watch the ticker tape you may be able to click on the link for that. mnn is kahentinetha's site, and the story i gave the link to is hers....you can also try emailing
orakwa@paulcomm.ca and have them send you a copy, if you're looking to have your research backed.
