UN Arms Policy 'A Failure'
The UN has been criticised for failing to enforce fully any of the arms embargoes it has imposed in the last ten years. A report released on Wednesday by the Control Arms Campaign says that every one of the 13 Security Council embargoes in the last 10 years has been routinely violated and only a handful of offenders have been successfully prosecuted.The campaign is an initiative of Oxfam International, Amnesty International and the International Action Network on Small Arms.Full Story
